Dining al Fresco
To experience authentic al fresco dining is to experience community. Al fresco, or in the cool air, brings you outside and into conversations, laughter and relaxation.
You can’t help but pick up bits and pieces of personal stories, intimate talks and maybe even a joke or two when you stroll the streets of Little Italy. The myriad of charming dining spots in this San Diego community offer many opportunities to sit, talk and visit while enjoying the authentic food that has been prepared here since the late 19th century.
One of the great things about our tours is we invite and encourage you to hear, learn and feel the traditions that make Little Italy so unique. We may not have the rolling hills of Tuscany to view while seated on a restaurant patio, but we do have the casual and family-like atmosphere and we love to share that with you.
We are spoiled by almost perfect weather year round and whether you are casually strolling the paved streets while window shopping or crossing items off your to-do list, you can always find a spot to sit and relax for a few minutes, grab a cup of coffee and an Italian pastry and breathe it all in.
Do you dine al fresco? Do you give yourself that time to sit and really be present? If not, I encourage you to try it. The food will taste better and the conversation will last longer. Food should be a communal experience as often as possible. Make your memories rich with laughter, conversation and delicious cuisine!
